How Does Flipped Mastery Work?

Step 1: Watch Video Lesson

Picture

Step 2: Complete Independent Practice Problems

Picture

Step 3: Take Mastery Quiz

If you pass... Put a sticker on the mastery tracker and move onto the next lesson

What is Flipped Mastery

In a flipped mastery class, all lessons are recorded and posted online for students to watch either at home or in class. After watching the video lesson, students complete a set of independent practice problems, and when they feel ready, they take a mastery quiz to demonstrate understanding of the topic. Because all the lessons are online, students can move through the lessons at their own pace, taking the time they need to understand each topic.

I also wanted to give a shout-out to the original flipped math pioneers - The Algebro's, who have put together a comprehensive high school math sequence on their website FlippedMath.com
